Why is a raven like a writing desk?

For those lucky enough to get their Hogwarts letters early, Pottermore is very soon! 
I personally don’t mind which house I am sorted in (secretly hopes that it is Gryffindor) because I have never been sorted into Hogwarts House before and I can’t wait to find out which one I belong to. ♥
